Ocean State Cooperative’s building is centrally located on the West Warwick/Coventry line. The building is handicapped accessible and offers ample off-street parking. Ocean State Cooperative has our own private entrance that is secured throughout the day to ensure our members’ safety. Additionally, we are a NUT-FREE program.
The building boasts six (6) sunny classroom spaces in our own private wing, several of which have televisions and dvd players available for class use. Two (2) classrooms have smaller-than-normal furniture to accommodate our youngest members. In addition to the classroom space, the cooperative has a beautiful kitchen with a commercial stove that can be used for classes and events. We have use of a wonderful multi-purpose room with ample space for yoga, dance, and dramatic performances. The multi-purpose room has a piano that members can use for classes and dividers to split the space, if needed. The multi-purpose room is truly a gem as it is so versatile. The large hall located at the heart of the building serves as our lunch room and can also be used as a classroom, if needed. There is a comfortable parents’ lounge that can be used throughout the day for anything including a mobile office for work-from-home parents (when they aren’t fulfilling membership responsibilities elsewhere) and a quiet place for nursing moms. Ocean State Cooperative also has access to the gorgeous sanctuary that can be used for performances and special events. Our building also has a secure outdoor play space for littles that is equipped with large playscapes and is beautifully mulched for safety. We also have space on site that can be used for outdoor classes and to have lunch when the weather allows.
